What a game!
I’m exhausted… but happy. Thank you Germany. All I need now is Spain winning tomorrow and bea Germany in the final

It’s time for the first semi final in Euro 2008 and all I can say is that I really, really hope that Germany wins. I don’t hope that Germany wins becuase I like them especially much, after all they knocked us out 2 years ago, but then again I don’t dislike them at all. I like the way they play, some of my favorite players in Europe play for Germany and, of crouse, Holger is german. No, the main reason I want Germany to win becuase I couldn’t stand seeing Turkey win.
Sure, it’s fun that an underdog can make it this far and they have been playing really good from time to time even though I can’t help but feel that they should’ve been knocked out a couple of times already if it weren’t for the fact that many teams seems to have become a bit too secure with their leads.
What bothers me about Turkey isn’t the way the play, their players or anything sports related at all really. It’s how sports are expolited for political purposes in Turkey, used as a tool to win sympathies. I simply cannot root for such a team to win.
My bet on tonights game is based on two things:
1. What I just wrote above
2. That I believe that Germany is a stronger team and that they won’t make the same mistake others have already made.
3-1 in favor for Germany. Don’t disappoint me…

Vacation is Nice
Just found one of those rare spots where I acctually have 3G coverage so Im taking the opportunity to blog on my cell. Its quite tedious I must say… Anyway, as you know Im out in the woods all alone. Its very peaceful out here and Im really enjoying it. Ive just been out with the boat catching some sun while its here, looks like rain is coming. I played golf for the first time ever this weekend! It was a lot of fun and I didnt totally suck at it. I think I just might take a couple of lessons and see where it goes. Wheres the line break when you need it? Ive finished watching season 2 of Dexter, really good stuff, I reccomend it The cats seem to be enjoying themselves out here. A little too much perhaps, I hardly get to see them 
Thats all for now. Im gonna hit the shower and spend the remainder of this beautiful day doing absolutely nothing.
Final Midsummer Update (in swedish)
Så var det dags förden sista uppdateringen inför midsommar.
Jag sitter just nu på landet, uppkopplad på et 56-modem via Sveriges Riksdag. Det går trögt men funkar. Tyvärr kommer denna dator lämna platsen ikväll och åka till Stockholm och då 3G-täckningen här är usel (gsm funkar bra) kommer jag inte kinna surfa mer på två veckor.
Så, inför midsommar då. Jag har nog skrivit en del av det är förr men det skadar inte att upprepa sig
Först och främst tänkte jag ge er en enkel vägbeskrivning som komplement till google maps:
- Ta E20 mot Göteborg.
- Strax efter en skylt där det står Strängnär 17 ska ni av mot Åkers styckebruk.
- Ta vänster direkt efter avfarten och strax därefter höger in mot Merlänna
- Följ denna väg fram till en stor T-korninig. Där tar ni vänster in på väg 55.
- Kör på längs väg 55 mot Flen. När ni ser en skylt med Flen 14 har ni ca 10 minuter kvar till ni ska av väg 55.
- Håll utkik efter en blå skylt på vänster sida som det står Stav 1 på. När ni ser den är det bara någon minut kvar till avfarten mot Kramnäs. Där ska ni in. Denna skylt är en gul lokalskylt och sitter även den på vänster sida.
- När ni kommit hit kan ni ringa om ni är osäkra på vägen men det är inte långt kvar.
- Skulle ni missa avfarten mot Kramnäs och ser en avfart där det står Yxtaholm så har ni åkt förlångt. Det är ingen fara. Åk in där istället och håll vänster tills ni kommer fram till den andra t-korsningen. Där tar ni höger och är på rätt spår igen.
OBS! Det finns gott om hastighetskameror på väg 55 så ta det lugnt. De är skyltade men en del sitter jäkligt lurigt till.

Midsummer Info
Alright, only a couple of weeks left and I’ll leave town on thursday so I won’t be at home to help you get organized
I have a couple of things I’d like to mention before I leave though.
Money
There won’t be an obligatory fee but an optional one of 50 SEK.
Train Travellers
If you are coming by train to coordinate your trip with others that might be coming by train.
We don’t want to make too many trips to Flen to pick people up.
We will be able to do pick-ups on wednesday and thursday. If you want to be picked up on friday you’ll have to bribe someone with a drivers license.
If you are coming in by train, call me a couple of days in advance so that I know.
Coming by Car?
First of all, don’t forget to bring the directions posted below. I won’t be able to help much over phone simply becuase I don’t know the way unless I’m in the car.
Empty car? See if any of the others don’t have transportation arranged, perhaps you can help out.
Pack your bags
Apart from your regular luggage I’d like everyone, to the extent possible, to bring the following:
- Bed linen
- Towel
- Food – I suppose most of the food will be shared but there will be no purchases organized by be so don’t forget breakfast, midday snacks, dinner, evening snacks, munchies etc…
- Beverages – Both types, you will probably not be able to go to town to buy more. Don’t forget that we’ll party on saturday aswell.
- Allergic to cats? Two cats will accompany us during the weekend. I don’t think it’ll much of a problem since we can keep doors and windows open and they will roam free outside but still, if you are allergic you might want to bring some pills or something.
Optional Accessories
- Ipod – Yes, you can bring your Ipod and you’ll be able to play it on the stereo, no betteries required
What not to bring
You don’t need to bring charcoal for the bbq, i’ll make sure we have enough.
What’s the plan?
So what’s the plan for the weekend then?
To be honest, there isn’t much of a plan. We’ll be out in the woods thursday thourgh sunday and have fun. Ofcourse we’ll have a traditional midsummer lunch and we’ll problably watch some soccer in the evenings but apart from that it’s all up to you guys
I think that’s it for now. Call me if you have questions… and, as I said, I’ll be leaving on thursday so if you need to see me in person about something you’d better be quick about it
