Is Akisemet Loosing it’s Grip?
I, like many others, use the Akisemet Spam plugin with my blog to prevent idiot bots from flooding the blog comment sections. I hate spam… Previously Akisemet has been able to identify, and verify, most of the smap comments and has immediatly flagged them as spam. To my knowledge it has only made one mistke so far and caught about 2500 spam comments. Not a bad achievment.
But, always that but ey, recently more and more spam manages to go through the filters. They are flagged as spam but not verfied. That means that you, my precious readers, will never see the spam but I in turn will have to go into the admin section and confirm that the comments are, in fact, spam. Not too much of a hassle as I can flag all in one go so it only takes me a minute every day but it is still annoying.
I don’t really have a conclusion to this random rambling, I just wanted to get it off my chest… Btw, did I mention how much I hate spam?
