DIF – Malmö
The first home game of the season. It was supposed to rain but instead the sun was shining over Stockholms Stadion. We met up, as we always do before the home games, in a park a few 100 meters from the arena to have a couple of beers and talk about the game. The sun made this very pleasant and we were in a good mood. That lasted until about 16:05 but let’s not rush the story here.
At 15:30 we started moving to the arena. It was packed with supporters but we were able to get to our favourite seats aside the middle of the pitch, about 5 rows up. At 16:00 the game started. At 16:05 the score was 0-1 to Malmö. From where we were standing it was difficult to say what happened. It looked like the entire team was just standing around, not paying attention. It was a very easy goal for Malmö to score and a really bad performance by DIF.
After the goal the player woke up though. They started playing and they did it well. The remaining 85 minutes of the game I’d say belonged to DIF. Malmö was allowed a few shots and had a few chanecs but I never really feared them scoring again.
Instead Sebastian Rajalakso scroed for DIF, again. Two goals in two games is not bad for a right wing midfielder playing his second game in Allsvenskan ever. Unfortunately that was as close as we came. The game ended 1-1 and I think that, after all, everybody was quite happy with that.
