1 week down, 19 to go

One week since my last snus and it feels good and on Tuesday I’ll pack my bag and go to the gym for my first workout.

Recent events

As I kind of predicted I haven’t kept this blog as up to date as I’d like to but as requested, here comes a brief summary since my party.

I went skiing for a week, or actually I went snowboarding. Unfortunately I got sick during the stay so I spent most of the week indoors. Didn’t mind it much though. Snow is cold and in the end I actually ended up well rested for a couple of months of hard work.
This Tuesday came with some really good news when it was confirmed that I from now on will take on the role as Technical Project Leader at 50% (combined with the developer role at 50% for now). This I must say is really a step in the right direction career wise. My first project will hopefully begin during February so wish me luck! :)
Also my “life make over” has begun. I am now 5 days in without snus. Next week I will start working out 2 times a week and play floor ball once a week. And of course, so far no fast food this week. My present goal is to go on like this for 5 months in order to loose a bit of weight and get beefed up to the summer. ;) Needless to say this also means no alcohol for 5 months. Again, wish me luck :)

That’s all for now. Let’s see if I can update this atleast 2 times a week from now on starting monday :)

The Aftermath

Waking up this morning after last nights party wasn’t fun at all. Quite the hangover and my apartment looked like, well, it wasn’t pretty. Luckily two of my friends had spent the night here (Erik & Helena) and they helped me clean up, thanks guys.

The party was a huge success, or at least that’s what my guests told me ;) We had a lot of fun and space wasn’t really a big issue. The only thing that broke was my bed(!), far less than I expected.

I went to my mom this evening for a birthday dinner. Really good food and cake and some nice gifts. To summarize the weekend so far I am very happy.

Finally, the gifts:

  • Coffee grinder
  • Book: 101 things you must know how to do
  • A lamp
  • Waffle iron
  • Djurgården scarf
  • Electric mixer
  • A really nice picture collage
  • Two candlesticks
  • A niffy wallet like thing
  • Simpsons season 8 (with a matching keyring)

I probably forgot something and if I forgot your gift, don’t take it personal :)

Time’s up, let’s get ready to rumble!

9 minutes tog o and I’m all done. Just about to open a beer and relax while I wait for my guests to arrive, presumably a little bit late as usual. Cheers all!

Cooking, cleaning and whatnot…

Phew… Hosting a party is a lot of work.

Woke up around 11 this morning and I’ve been at it since then, just taking a short break now.

I have been making dessert, fixing pie, setting up the tables, cleaning the apartment, went shopping etc. and I still have a long way to go before I can really relax. Anyway, things are looking good at the moment. Roughly 1½ hours ahead of schedule (hence the short break) so there’s no need to panic just yet ;)

Birthday Party

The day has come (or acctually the night before, I should really be in bed by now) for my birthday party. My birthday is not due until the 10th of January but since it’s a weekday today seemed like a better time to throw it :)

Somehow I am goin to fit 27 people into my 39m2 apartment, we’ll see how it works out. Wish me luck ;)

Back in Sweden

I am back from my visit in Frankfurt, Germany, where I saw a long, almost lost, friend by the name of Holger & his girlfriend Kerstin. I celebrated the new year at their place and had a great time.

Now that I am back home in Sweden again we’ll see if I can make this blog thing work out. So far I haven’t been the most active blogger. :)

I’ve decided to blog in english since I have a number of english speaking friends whom might, atleast sometime in the future, enjoy my blog.
